Nineteen birders joined me for the TAS walk this morning at Matheson Hammock Park. Migrants were hard to come by, with only six species of warblers seen: Northern Parula, Blackpoll, Black-and-white, Prairie, Black-throated Blue and Common Yellowthroat. An estimated 200 Cedar Waxwings were in trees on the west side of the park. Two Eastern Screech-Owls were seen and a third was heard in and around their nest hole along the service road. Exotics seen included Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Orange-winged and Lilac-crowned Parrot, Yellow-chevroned Parakeet and Hill Myna.
