Yesterday the buntings had left. All the male Indigos are gone leaving 2 females and 1 orange bellied male Painted and 4 females remain. The male Blue Grosbeak was on the feeder yesterday morning. In the afternoon I sighted an extremely pale breasted with streaking and a bit of a crest bird I considered a potential Indigo with thoughts of a mentioned Lazuli. After checking a stack of field guides I am relatively confident it was a female Blue Grosbeak. Warblers were Common Yellow-throat, female Redstart, male Black-throated Blue. and a Cape May male. The Cape Mays are a daily regular in a tall Bourreria succulent (Bahama strongbark), curiously enough almost every day shows the variety in age and sex.
The cardinals fledglings have left the nest.
I have a pic of a green Tananger on the bird bath, I will sent a copy to anyone who wants to figure out which type.
