I know many people have seen this bird. I have also met several people who came from far away to see this diving duck and failed to see it. I have been to the Inlet a dozen and a half times and have not seen it. Truth be told, haven't been looking for it either since I have seen it numerous times. I spotted it in the ocean bathing and splashing its wings several times. A few moments later, it swam to the shore and proceeded to preen itself. I am leaving you with a close up of it where you can see and analyze all the feathers details and cast your own opinion as if and when this gorgeous duck will take off. Wings are looking a little longer than a couple of months ago. Personally, I can't picture if flying out of here right away. But, what do I know?
