Update on Green Cay for anyone up this way or anyone interested. Saturday at Green Cay, the front feeders and east feeders both still populated by painted buntings - at least 6...haven't gone home yet. Purple martins still in heavy numbers at all houses. Cedar waxwings were out in force at the tall berry-filled tree just north of the chickee hut - dozens of them. Prairie, palm warblers still in good numbers, blue-headed vireo still around. Least and american bittern both conspicuous, and purple swamphens spotted again. Good sora numbers. Least sandpipers, lesser yellowlegs both present. All the usual waders present. No raptor activity Saturday - just one osprey over the main lake.
