Friday at noon there were about 30 cedar waxwings in my oak tree. Leisure City. They were there for half an hour.Well, I came home and found them and watched for that time. Don't know when they arrived. They were sitting very near each other, resting and preening, never really silent.
Today, Sunday, there was a flock in the ficus tree on the north side of Homestead Mennonite Church parking lot in Homestead at noon. They're totally enjoyable. I showed them to some kids with a chat about not throwing stones at little birds.
