Wanted to get a scarlet tanager, but had to settle for hooded. beautiful male, just like seen in many other parks. Right out in the open, calling and darting after insects. Always a nice bird to see. Also- red-eyed vireo, several male and one female redstart, male Cape May- possibly same that wintered here, n. waterthrush, chimney swift, and the usuals. Prairie and parula most numerous.
