This week: Bald Eagle, Summer Tanager (hanging around birdbath, Catbirds too) flocks of Cedar Waxwings, a pair of Swallowtail Kites, Yellow-Shafted Flicker, one Broad-Winged Hawk, several Merlins and Sharpies, a Cuckoo, and loads of warblers - in the oaks and pines. Good birding - enter Treetops Park on Nob Hill Rd in Broward, walk down the trail behind the main office, and enter the Pine Island Ridge ESL area - many acres of wood and field, pretty unspoiled - I live on it. Gopher Tortoises, some snake variety, good butterflies including Malachite and Hairstreaks -
