Yes, others do see large numbers of vultures over the city. It is common for vultures to roost on buildings in Downtown Miami or other buildings around South FL. North Miami Beach hosts a large roost of vultures that can be seen daily in the Oleta River area until they migrate back north. When the vultures are coming in to roost, the skies fill with vultures until sunset.

Broad-winged Hawk do indeed migrate over Florida. In South FL we are lucky to have Broad-winged Hawks that choose to winter, however the vast majority of this species winters in South America. During spring and fall, Broad-winged Hawks migrate over the state along with other raptors.
