I was at Matheson hammock County Park at sunrise today, hoping that the west winds would push some interesting migrants our way. Around the marina, I had an FOY Chimney Swift as well as a rogue flyover Western Kingbird -- I think this is new for the park.
Most warblers were concentrated around the picnic area. Everything was of a decidedly Caribbean extraction: Prairie Warbler, Northern Parula, Black-and-white Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Palm Warbler. The wintering Black-throated Green Warbler was also still around.
