The Cassin's Kingbird was present this afternoon and perhaps in the morning but I did not check. I took this photograph about 4:00 p.m. today. The kingbird/flycatcher flock has grown! I have now counted at the roost area, 27-Western Kingbird, 1-Cassin's Kingbird and 7-Scissor-tailed Flycatcher including a long tailed bird. Birders are welcomed to come by to try their luck. The best times again are from about 7:30 a.m. to about 8:30 a.m. and then again from about 4:00/4:30 p.m. to about 5:00/5:30 p.m. This would be at my house. The roost area located on s.w. 328 st. which is a dirt road, is 2/10 of a mile west of s.w. 202 ave. This is below the high wires next to a tomato field. The birds roost in a clump of Bamboo south of s.w. 328 st. They start arriving here around 5:30 p.m. and go to roost about 7:00 p.m.
