Strange spring in my yard in the Redland. The flocks of Cedar Waxwings, instead of spending a morning then moving on like every other year, have now been here two weeks. So here is a strange trio I've never had before in my yard: the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that overwinter are still here, the waxwings are here, and this morning I heard the Black-whiskered Vireo that normally arrives to claim my yard every summer. That makes it winter/spring/summer, right?
