The Cassin's Kingbird was present this morning and seen well by Angel and Mariel and myself. Yesterday Steve and Jeanette got great looks near my house, we then were able to find the exact roosting spot south of my neighborhood. The birds left my area about 5:30 and flew south. From s.w. 202 ave. go west 2/10 of a mile on s.w. 328 st. which is a dirt road. There will be a tomato field on your right and high tension wires above. On the left or south side of s.w. 328 st., there is a grove of Bamboo. All of the kingbirds are roosting in the second group of Bamboo looking south from s.w. 328 st. They hang out on the wires here until roost time which is around 6:30-7:00 p.m. I am pretty sure the birds leave this area about 7:30 a.m. and fly to the trees on the west side of my property. They feed from about 7:45 until about 8:30, they then spread out around the area.
