Just a reminder, I will be leading the annual TAS field trip to the C-357 Sparrow Fields on Saturday, March 15th. Target species that we will try to see include Clay-colored, Lincoln's, Swamp, Savannah, and Grasshopper Sparrows. White-tailed Kite and Barn Owl are other possibilities. This is currently the premier site for sparrows in Miami-Dade.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to visit the East Everglades/Chekika area of Everglades National Park this year as the hammock is now closed indefinitely, although I am working to fix that issue for the future.

Directions:
Meet at 7:00am at the C-357 sparrow fields. From Krome Avenue, drive west 3.0 miles on Richmond Drive (SW 168 Street). Park near the entrance, at a yellow gate just west of the C-357 Canal. No fee.
