Hi Birders

My name is Dorian Anderson and I am currently engaged in a HUGE birding project for 2014. In short, I am doing a nationwide bicycle big year in 2014. I started in Massachusetts on Jan 1 (yes, it was FREEZING), and I have cycled 2,500 miles between that time and today, March 2. So far I have found 227 species - all without a singe drop of gas! I am keeping a very thorough blog of the adventure at http://bikingforbirds.blogspot.com

I am in Delray Beach tonight, and I will be arriving in Miami in 2-3 days. I am looking for any and all help in finding the following birds:

Frigatebird - I guess Biscayne bay is my best bet?
Short-tailed hawk
Spot-breasted oriole - I will look for this in Ft Lauderdale tomorrow
White-winged parakeet
Red-whiskered bulbul
Common myna
White-crowned pigeon
Mangrove Cuckoo
Eastern whip-poor-will - can these be found on the ENP road at night?
La Sagra's flycatcher - I think I have the general idea for this bird at Matheson

I am looking for very precise information on each bird. Since I am on a bike, I really need to find the best 1 or 2 spots for each of these since I simple cannot visit 10 spots for each bird. "I have X in my yard" is an ideal scenario! I would appreciate any and all help anyone can offer!

OK, that's it for now. Hopefully I will meet a few of you in the net few days.

Thanks

Dorian Anderson
