Went there for a routine inspection. Like Nate stated lots of Gulls and Terns. Some of the terns depending on the angle show a longish tail but nothing like a White-tailed Tropicbird. Wish that information had been a little more specific on its behavior. I am curious if the person who reported had a scope assuming the I.D was correct. While I didn't find such a rarity...
On the Gull team I had:
Ring-billed - A lot of them
Laughing - A lot of them
Lesser Black-back (different stages) Couple of them
Greater-Black-back (different stages) Couple of them
Herring (Immature stage) couple of them
Bonaparte's (adult winter) Single bird
On the Tern side I had:
Royal - dozens
Sandwich - Half-dozen or so
Forster's (one in-flight)
There were also:
Brown Pelicans (many)
Sanderlings ( dozen or so)
Certainly NO White-tailed Tropicbird whatsoever.
