The young Glaucous Gull made an appearance at the landfill in Homestead this afternoon. I waited about an hour at the southwestern corner of the landfill sifting through the gulls before an eagle spooked several thousand gulls, the GLGU being one of them. Look for it's obvious white primaries. A large number of Lesser Black-backed Gulls was also impressive.
Dump Marsh had a female American Wigeon and a female Gadwall among the Mottled Ducks and Blue-winged Teal. I did not relocate the Crested Caracara, probably due to lack of effort.
