Yesterday I spoke to Andy Bankert while he was scouting in south Florida for their January Big Day, which they ran today. In their scouting, they had several shorebirds on Research Road, such as Black-necked Stilt and American Avocet. Brown-headed Nuthatches were also on Research Road. Gumbo Limbo had Black-throated Green and Worm-eating Warblers, as well as Louisiana Waterthrush. Anhinga Trail had a Purple Gallinule.

Today they ran their Big Day. They sid they had screech, Barred, and Great-horned Owl and with Lesser Nighthawk early this am in the park. The nighthawk was on Research Road. They had some of the same birds, and some misses from yesterday. They had the Bell's Vireo at the Annex, which I'm assuming was the one from November.

There are probably several other notable birds they had but I'm pretty tired.
