I wonder if this might not be the same blue-winged/cinnamon hybrid that spent last spring hanging out at Green Cay. I haven't seen any back there this year, and the description sounds close - those two parks are relatively near. Last spring the one at Green Cay seems to have hooked up with a female blue-winged teal, as they were always seen together. I got a lot of photos of that one - if you get a closeup of the one at Lox, I'd love to see if there are any identifiable patterns/markings that could confirm if this is the same bird.
