Found the LaSagra's Flycatcher in the heat of the afternoon today. It was among the trees in the picnic area east of the pond. I had walked the trail south of the pond and was making my way back to my car slowly ( I'm recovering from a pulled hamstring) when I heard a "whit" call nearby. By pure dumb luck I was able to find the bird.
I'd also like to inform folks that a women at the Everglades Welcome Center just past Frog Pond WMA told me she has seen a LaSagra's in Flamingo though she didn't go into detail.
I also went to a site recommended to me by folks on this page to look for the Red-whiskered Bulbul and was rewarded by brief but definitive looks at two individuals.
Thanks so much to the folks who post here.
Back to NY for me,
Gerry Colborn
