Early this afternoon I heard a couple of Mangrove Cuckoos calling back and forth near the western entrance to Rowdy Bend Road in Everglades National Park, one of which came close enough for positive visual identification. These are my first Mangrove Cuckoos south of the main park road since Hurricane Wilma. There was also a male Black-throated Green Warbler a little farther down Rowdy Bend Road and a Yellow-throated Vireo on Snake Bight Road.
