Well---basically I have the same repertoire of birds I have had this winter. March is approaching and soon the hummingbirds and Painted Buntings will head North. The Painted Buntings stayed through the first part of May last year. The male hummer seems to be feeding from my nectar feeder much more frequently. I believe it is the same bird and not two--but I will continue to observe. A Gray Catbird is a regular visitor as are couple of Palm Warblers. I have had various warblers for short periods of times throughout the fall/winter season. The Ovenbird did not winter here as it had been previous years and no waterthrushes have been seen. Contrary to what others may say, the Painted Bunting is an absolutely fabulous bird to have in Miami and a joy to behold!!! It will always remain so. I continue to have the other more common birds appearing in the yard---also very interesting in their own way.
