The lakes surrounding the Pompano landfill have produced a couple of the rare "white-winged" type gulls, but none recently that I can think of. I know it has had Iceland in the past.
The Glacous Gull at Black Point County Park in Miami-Dade was very close to the landfill there, as well. This was in 2006 or so.
