1 immature Glaucous Gull at Pompano Beach Pier on 2-18-2014, from 8 A.M. to 1 P.M.
This is almost certainly the same bird that was reported/photographed by Warren P. on 2-14-2014, and that was relocated by Steven K. on 2-17-2014.
It was flying on both sides of the Pier but was mostly walking on the beach S of the Pier (as far S as lifeguard station #1). At 8 A.M. it was perched on beach furniture just S of the Pier (& was visible from the manicured lawns as well as from the Pier). Later, it was very aggressive towards other gulls when it accepted snack food items thrown by humans sitting on beach chairs under umbrellas. The best way to see the bird is to walk along the entire length of the wet beach.
(Also, 1 immature Great Black-backed Gull flying & walking on both sides of the Pier.)
