More defoliated as there are no leaves, but also many of the trees that were there are also removed, or heavily trimmed, down to stumps...not quite fully deforested, but definitely knocked down to unusable by the nesting birds. There are still cut down tree trunks and stems there so something may grow back by summer, but of course that'll be too late for the woodies' nesting time...I just hope it doesn't change the pattern and cause them to stop coming back there to nest - they came rather suddenly 3 years ago, and for two years have been nesting heavily in that spot - now there are a few nesting on the nearby island, but far from the numbers last time - it looks like many will need to find an alternate place to lay down their nests.
