This morning around 10:30 while birding from the pier I found a large white gull just north of the pier near the first life guard tower. It stood out easily from the other gulls and terns so I decided to drag my son and the baby stroller through the sand to get a better look. My gut told me Glaucous, but I needed to email my pics to get confirmation.
Well John Hutchison, John Boyd and Angel Abreu all agreed it's a Glaucous. I'd love to show off my pics that I digiscoped with my iPhone and binoculars and using a baby stroller as a tripod, but I don't have a Flicker account or know how to post them. If anyone wants to share them I can email them. Also in the area was a Great Black-backed Gull.
