Although South Broward High School is within the hustle and bustle of Hollywood,Florida,it has become a paradise for warblers and has had its fair share of birds.Last year,I found an Eastern Phoebe while having lunch with my friends.Gray Kingbirds seem to only appear during the spring and summer.I have also recorded Red-masked Parakeet and Monk Parakeet in the south parking lot along with Gray .Blue-gray Gnatcatcher was also seen here.Last Friday,I found a male American Redstart in a garden among the Royal Poincianas right next to the library. This Tuesday,in the North Parking lot,I heard a Yellow-throated Warbler in the palm trees but didn't see him.Palm and Prairie Warblers were clearly present among the Gumbo Limbos in the western part of the school and Cooper's Hawk is definitely present too.
