: While visiting south Florida from Wisconsin, I took a day trip to the Dry Tortugas on June 4th. It was a great trip! Aside from all the good "expected birds" I also located one Black Noddy on the north coaling docks. At one point is sat next to a Brown Noddy about 40 feet from where I sat. I was most surprised by the migrants still present on the key. I had 8 warbler species including male N. Parula and Blackpoll. The best find was a female Connecticut Warbler. Other migrants include Swainson's Thrush and Yellow-billed Cuckoo
A Nashville Warbler and probably the same Connecticut on June 3. Didn't see the black noddy though (darn!) A black-necked stilt was on the beach next to the nesting grounds, bit of a surprise. Are they common there? Happy birding!
