TAS Trip Itinerary February 15, 2014 Shark Valley/Loop Road
Be sure to bring lunch, and we will meet at 8:00am at the airboat concession on the north side of Tamiami Trail (US 41), one mile west of the Shark Valley entrance. This is not clearly marked as an airboat business look for a red craft sale banner on sign. Note-- After meeting we will return to Shark Valley. There is an entrance fee to Shark Valley. Restrooms available.
After Shark Valley we will bird Loop Road, which is approximately 2 miles west of Shark Valley. The loop road sign is down, look for the road on the left with a Baptist church on the corner. No bathrooms available during the 20 miles of roadside birding. The road is dirt but freshly graded.
We look forward to seeing swallow-tail kites as they are arriving.
