A reptile dealer named Mike Powell used to have a place down in the redlands on 248th st. and 157th ave. He liked that lizard and released a few on his coral rock walls. As they multiplied they started moving around the county in nursery plants. That particular lizard was never a super popular pet, but they became more and more numerous around his place, and probably that single introduction is responsible for all the ones we see today.
