Decided to try my luck at the C357 area this morning. I was surprised to see what looks like a new canal just inside, parallel to the road. Construction equipment is obviously using some of the interior trails as well.
There was not a ton of activity in the fog; Lots of Palm Warblers and Yellowthroats in the vegetation, but almost all the sparrows were Savannah. I did have one each of Swamp and Grasshopper, and a couple of House Wrens. Nothing else was really unexpected. There was a lot of reedy vegetation growing on the banks, especially after the turn north, which makes it more difficult to see into the low vegetation.
