Purple Swamhen can still be reliably found at Chapel Trail Nature Preserve. We usually encounter them in the middle of the wetlands or at the end of the boardwalk.
Purple Swamphen are also reliably found at Dolphin Mall in Miami. The lakes on the NW side of the mall property offer the best viewing. Be safe crossing the road in the parking lot, people drive kind of fast around the bend.
