I called it a 'fallout'-like event, as there's probably not much in the way of migration movement now, but what I experienced was certainly an unusually high number of birds in a small area, with lots of mixed species. The birds numbered in the many hundreds, possibly thousands, all in a 300 yard square area at the Congress Park section of the Saratoga Springs resort, in the trees around the buildings along a lakefront. Dozens of each species - the regular ones for me like pine, prairie, palm, and yellow-rumped warblers...but I also saw 3 or 4 different vireos, titmouse, waxwings, flycatchers, and much more. It was quite something - at least 3 new species photographed, and 8 new species seen.
