A total of 24,020 individuals of 132 species were tallied during the Coot Bay/Everglades National Park Christmas Bird Count on December 28. No new species were seen, but high counts were set for three species: Black Rail, Summer Tanager and Nelson's Sparrow. Here are the totals:
