There are about 5 Purple Swamphens now at Green Cay in decent viewing on the north side
I have seen them yesterday and two days before.
First time I have seen them there when I come down twice a year
Only other reliable spots were City Furniture at Cypress Creek and the library on West Sheridan street
Active, vocal, beautifully colored birds
Saw many of the raptors as well, especially the Red-shouldered and active Harrier
Wakodahatchee has some very cooperative and beautiful Purple Gallinules as well as the popular nesting Anhingas and Great Blue Herons (two of which were mating)
