During the Miami Christmas Bird Count on December 14th, 31 participants tallied 26,393 individuals of 134 species. Unusual species for this year s count included American Avocet, Sora, Tennessee Warbler and Louisiana Waterthrush. New highs were set for Egyptian Goose, Chestnut-fronted Macaw, White-winged Parakeet, Northern Parula, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Prairie Warbler and Ovenbird. Here are the totals:
