I saw the La Sagra's Flycatcher yesterday at Matheson Hammock County Park. I first tried near the gate on the south side of the property but had not luck. I made a trip to the bathrooms but did not see or hear it there. I then birded inside of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, I did not see many birds there. A birder who was also looking for the La Sagra's Flycatcher, told me he had seen the bird by the bathrooms. I went over with my friend Ken Setzer who has not seen a La Sagra's Flycatcher. We found the bird in the trees over the bathrooms in a feeding flock. There were two Great Crested Flycatchers with the La Sagra's Flycatcher which was a nice comparison. I think the best bet to finding this bird is to locate the feeding flock that includes the Great Crested Flycatchers.
Good luck to those the search for it.
