Three of us (from ND, CA and AR) saw the fork-tailed flycatcher about 430 pm today. Also present were about 15-20 each of scissor-tails and western kingbirds. No sign of the Cassin's kingbird while we were there. The birds were all well off the road and a scope was very helpful.

We found a smooth-billed ani on the south end of Loxahatchee, in a low brush along the north side of Lox Road (Rte 827), about 1 - 1.5 mi from where the road ends at the refuge (seen about 1130 am).
There was no sign of the ani along Perimeter Rd south of the airport. The hedge has been trimmed low and neither yesterday nor today did we have any luck there.

Finally, we found 3 purple swamphens in Pembroke Pines, along Sheridan Rd, about 1/4 mi west of 172nd (about 930 am).

Good luck with these.
