Birding was slow on Virginia Key yesterday but Marc, Eliana and I had fun anyway. We felt like we were geocaching! We accumulated 63 species, plus 4 count week species. The best birds were confiding Bonaparte's Gull (adult) and American Avocet. Finding two Cuban Crescent Butterflies was exciting. They are near the exit for the North Point Bike Trails, right where they were last January.
