I birded the Village of El Portal for about 2 hours this morning for the Miami CBC. Mostly suburban habitat with a few canals and adjacent to sea. Large numbers of White Ibis and Laughing/Ring-billed Gulls flying east. I had 8 warbler species with 2 Tennessee Warblers feeding on a huge strangler fig with 5 other species of warblers and 2 parakeet species being my highlight. 41 Species, 870 Birds
