This morning I met up with Toe to try and relocate the TOWA at The Annex. I unfortunately left at 8:45a yesterday to go to work and missed the bird! Luckily today he popped up at 7:50 and gave much better looks than yesterday (according to Gary Davis who was also there yesterday and returned this morning hoping for a better view). Toe and I managed to get a couple photos and I will post mine once I get to a PC.
Also seen/heard:
Green Heron
Killdeer
Gray Catbird
Common Yellowthroat
American Crow
Great Egret
Red-winged Blackbird
Northern Cardinal
Sandhill Crane
Barred Owl
Magnolia Warbler - 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Red-shoulderd Hawk
Northern Waterthrush
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Least Flycatcher - very vocal!
Palm Warbler
Summer Tanager
Great Crested Flycatcher
Belted Kingfisher
Pileated Woodpecker
Eastern Phoebe
I am sure I am missing birds but we lost track of everything once the warbler finally turned up. Oddly enough the Blue-winged Warbler did not make an appearance today after perching out in the open on the power lines for about 5 minutes yesterday!
