I heard what sounded like a La Sagra's Flycatcher today calling at Matheson Hammock. I actually heard the bird from the northeast corner of the visitor center parking lot at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. It was calling from the trees and vegetation around the southern most edge of the pond on the adjacent Matheson property. The call I heard sounded like the "wink" call the La Sagra's gives repeated over and over. I wasn't birding and didn't have binoculars on me, so I didn't get a chance to chase after it. I'll be travelling, so hopefully someone else can get out there and look for it the next couple of days.
