Just want to let you know that your last picture entitled "Common Yellowthroat" is actually a Cedar Waxwing...probably just a labeling mix-up.

: I live in CT now and the Monk Parakeets build their nests on the power company's poles. The power company has recently started a practice of extracting the nests and having all of the Parakeet's killed. I cannot believe that they are getting away with this.

: : I am a student at Nova Southeastern University. I am doing a research project on Monk Parakeets. I am looking for information on their impact on the environment. Does anyone know if the monks have replaced a species. Have they interupted any ecological niches?
