Hi Paul,
WG is incorrect. Yellow-throated Vireos and Indigo Buntings are the same size (5.5 inches, according to the National Geographic guide).
I think you mean "so late" in the season, since migration is mostly over, but Yellow-throated Vireos are rare but regular winter residents in the extreme peninsula.
But seeing two simultaneously suggests another species. My guess would be Pine Warblers, but these too are 5.5 inches.
