Hi Brian -
Yes, we lost you guys somewhere between the meet-up location and the STA5 entrance - when we arrived (we stopped to check out a species) you all had moved out! We were able to join the Hendry group who were great hosts.
We saw the Tropical Kingbird and other than our E Meadowlark, Canvasback and Sedge Wren we spotted about the same species. We were also denied the Cassin's.
We had an E Phoebe playing around in the tire well of one of our parked pickup trucks - but nothing like your otter/gator encounter!
It was a great day - LOTS of great species - the off/on light rain didn't bother much as it cooled things off and kept the sun at bay.
