Despite a few light showers, it was a duck-lover's paradise yesterday with some of the most beautiful ducks in ample supply at the various stops in STA-5.
And, as Brian mentioned, the day was topped off with the heart-stopping, Discovery-channel-style episode of the otter racing for its life in hot pursuit by an alligator. Who knew otters could run that fast?
It was a hazy day so the quality is lacking in the photo below but we were thrilled to see a full mud flat of 11 Fulvous Whistling-Ducks.
