Well, I moved the caged feeder for the buntings, but I don't know if they were around today. I would have liked to put the bunting feeder with the cage in the same location the bird food has always been, but I did not want to move the feeder post which has a tray and space for other feeders. So, I hope that the buntings will see it and go in at the new location. It is now about 6 feet or more away from the other feeder. The strange thing, though, was that I have seen the greenie on the post waiting alongside a ring collared dove for the mourning doves to leave the uncaged feeder, but not going into the caged feeder that was right beneath her. And the male bunting stood on one of the bars, but did not go in. So, they were brave enough to be right next to the big birds, but did not attempt to go into the feeder. I have an Audubon Nature # 3 squirrel proof caged feeder. I had no idea that Sunset Feed carried birdseed. I use a mostly millet type that I have bought at home depot. I'll have to check out Sunset Feed which is close by. On another note, I bought some peanut nuggets today, has anyone tried those for woodpeckers?
