Here in Little Havana, I've had two females (one in front and one in back) for the last several seasons. I never put up hummingbird feeders. They use the scarlet bushes in my and the neighbor's yards. A cape honeysuckle on the side yard is also popular. Interestingly, last year one female died (found floating in pond), and shortly after another female took her place. Hong Kong orchid tree (doesn't produce seeds so not invasive) is also a favorite for the birds around Miami.
