Apparently they are making it around to the west coast as well. I was coming out of East Cape Canal (just outside of Lake Ingraham) yesterday afternoon and saw a flock of 4 waterfowl in the canal. 3 took flight but 1 stayed behind in the canal and I confirmed it as a black scoter. Saw 2 long billed curlew in Lake Ingraham as well.
