I am Thankful that I had the resources and the time available to go to
Merritt Island for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful that I was able to find a Sedge Wren in the location that Toe
and Rock saw it last week.
I am thankful that I ran into John Boyd and he helped me confirm the Sedge
Wren by locating it with me later in the day.

I am thankful that I am now able to distinguish between Sedge and Grass,
thanks to John.

I am thankful that John know right where to go and see my Life Scrub Jays.
I am thankful that this Forester's Tern hovered so close to me that I was
able to get this photo of my Life Forester's Tern.
I am thankful that I went down a dirt road not on the main trail and found my
Life Chipping Sparrow.
I am thankful that I went to the National Sea Shore with John and was able to
see these Horned Grebes.
I am thankful that these Horned Grebes cam so close to shore.
I was thankful to be able to see these Hooded Mergansers.
I am thankful that I didn't listen to the people coming off a trail saying
the didn't see anything but a Mockingbird otherwise I would not have seen this
Eastern Towhee.
I am thankful that this Belted Kingfisher posed for me, I have been trying
all year to get a reasonable photo of this bird.
I am also thankful for the opportunity to enjoy taking all of these other
photos as well.
This is one of the two American Alligators that I found during my visit. It
is only about 2.5 feet long.
