I don't use this often, but I was told there could be an uncommon species of sparrow out in the field so I went to try to find it. If it flushed, it would fly to the brushy area, perch on a bush, and wait a couple minutes to fly back to the field. It's harmless, and they are not nesting out there. It's simply a way of manipulating the birds to fly up an an exposed perch.
